2007 Nevada County Poetry Series Anthology
After appearing as a featured cowboy poet at the 2006 Nevada County Cowboy Poetry Show in Grass Valley, California a poetry anthology was published.

and Cowboy Life were featured in the published collection.

Periodically, the Bar-D hosts Art Spur, a friendly 'competition' for cowboy poets to create a poem inspired by a specific work of art. At the end of the entry period, Bar-D staff publish the poems that they feel best reflect the spirit of the painting presented. Dave has had the following poems selected in Art Spur events:
